Mentoring is another essential form of leadership! We all have something to share with each other. Life is just a big classroom. Many times a traditional mentoring relationship might be thought of as an older person working with a younger person due to the fact that when you have spent many years in a position or with a company, you tend to be older than many of the new people beginning the onboarding process. I would like you to think of it in terms of someone experienced working with someone who wishes to gain more experience and knowledge.
The younger generation entering the workforce tends to be very computer and technology savvy. Some of these individuals would be more than happy to mentor individuals who may not have been as exposed to all the new technology that is now available to us.
